Florida's Jac Caglianone was named a 2024 First Team Academic All-American and a Division I Baseball Academic All-America Team Member of the Year on Tuesday. His girlfriend Elli McKissock had a special post paying tribute to the two-way star.
On her Instagram story, McKissock posted Caglianone's feat and added the following caption:
"Don't be fooled by those good looks y'all," McKissock wrote on her IG story.
While Caglianone is one of the top college baseball players in the country, McKissock is a star volleyball player for the Gators. She has earned four SEC Fall Academic Honors in her college career thus far.
In December last year, McKissock announced that she would return to Florida for her final year of college eligibility and potentially help the Gators win the national title.
McKissock and Caglianone often celebrate each other's sporting or personal achievements on social media. The couple celebrated their second anniversary on May 31 this year.
Jac Caglianone was the bright spark for Florida, helping Gators reach 2024 CWS
Jac Caglianone had another stellar season with the Florida Gators in 2024. While pitching, the lefty posted a 5-2 record, racking up 83 strikeouts and 50 walks across 73.2 innings at a 4.76 ERA.
With the bat, Caglianone hit a school single-season record 35 home runs in 66 games this season. He had a .419 batting average, with 83 runs scored, 72 RBIs and a 1.419 OPS.
Caglianone carried the mantle for Florida and helped the team reach the College World Series semifinals. The Gators were close to making back-to-back CWS finals appearances but were eliminated from the postseason by Texas A&M.
Caglianone has finished his second season with Florida and now, all eyes will turn to the MLB draft. Many believe that the two-way star will be a top 3 pick in the upcoming draft.
