#1. Florida State - 24

The Florida State Seminoles have been unlucky in tasting success in Omaha.

They lost the 1970 final to the Southern Carolina Gamecocks and the 1999 final to the Miami Hurricanes by a single run. In their 24th College World Series appearance this year, they were eliminated by the Tennessee Volunteers in bracket 1 to extend this unwanted record further.

#2. Clemson - 12

The Tigers have made it to Omaha 12 times. While they have 12 overall wins in the tournament, they have never won the season-ending tournament nor made the final. In 2010, their fierce state rivals, the South Carolina Gamecocks, eliminated the Tigers in the semifinal en route to winning the tournament.

#2. North Carolina - 12

Like the Tigers, the Tar Heels have also made the College World Series 12 times. They fared slightly better than the Tigers in Omaha, finishing runners-up to the Oregon State Beavers in the 2006 and 2007 College World Series.

This season, the Tar Heels' 12th trip to Omaha ended after losing to the Tennessee Volunteers and the Florida State Seminoles in quick succession.

#4. Arkansas - 11

The Razorbacks have been to Omaha 11 times. They have finished runners-up twice, losing to the Cal State Fullerton Titans in 1979 and to the Oregon State Beavers despite winning the first game of the best-of-three series in 2018. Despite being the fifth seed this season, they failed to make the super regionals after suffering a shock elimination from the Fayetteville Regional.

#5. Northern Colorado - 10

The Bears have made 10 trips to Omaha but failed to win the season-ending tournament on every trip. They have only won three games across their 10 appearances, with their last College World Series appearance coming in 1974.
