During a hectic offseason, LSU's star Flau'jae Johnson was spotted with the face of USC women's basketball JuJu Watkins at Sports Beach 2024 at Cannes. Johnson posted the interaction on X featuring both the stars in their casual outfits.

"Juju on the beat! Kickin it in Cannes!" wrote Johnson in the caption.

The duo will return to their respective programs for the 2024-25 season. With LSU's former star Angel Reese moving to the WNBA as the overall 7th pick by Chicago Sky, Flau'jae Johnson is all set to lead and become the new face of the LSU women's basketball roster.

$1.2 million NIL-valued Flau'jae Johnson, according to On3, averaged 14.9 ppg in the 2023-24 season for LSU. She tallied 5.5 rpg and 2.5 apg while shooting 50.4% from the field. SEC Freshman of the Year 2024, Johnson was a key player in the 2022-23 season for the program and led the program to the NCAA title.

On the other hand, Juju Watkins was at the pinnacle of her career last season for USC. A goal-scoring machine, she averaged 27.1 ppg, shooting 31.9% from the court. Averaging 7.3 rpg and 3.3 apg in her freshman year for the program, Watkins is set to carry women's basketball next season

"She (Clark) was like, 'I had this attention for a year and a half, two years. She said to Juju, 'You're going to have it for the next three'," said USC coach Lindsay Gottlieb on an interview with 'The Orange County Register.

Watkins was also part of the live show at the sports beach 2024 which aimed to talk about the growth of women in various sectors. In the live show, she was accompanied by four-time WNBA champion Sue Bird.
