The 9-3 Memphis Tigers face the 11-1 Ole Miss Rebels on Saturday at 2 p.m. ET. at the FedExForum in Memphis. An ACC versus SEC matchup, the evenly matched game could see a slew of guards to take over and lead their team to victory.

Memphis, led by junior PJ Haggerty, is coming off a tough 79-66 loss to the Mississipi State Bulldogs, on Saturday, seeking their 10th triumph of the season. Haggery had 24 points, four rebounds and two steals in the defeat and now looks to bring the Penny Hardaway-coached squad back in the win column.

Meanwhile, for Ole Miss, they shot down the Queens University Royals, 80-62, on the same day for their 11th dub of the campaign. Fourth-year guards Sean Pedulla and Jaylen Murray paved the way, combining for 35 markers and eight steals.

With their respective conference games ensuing shortly, both squads who possess spitfire guards are aiming to gain some sort of momentum. The game can be watched through ESPN2 with a live box score on FOX Sports.

Let's now take a look at the three players to catch in the Memphis versus Ole Miss game.

Three players to watch out for in Memphis versus Ole Miss 2024-2025

#1 PJ Haggerty

Since the start of the season, it's been clear cut that third-year standout PJ Haggerty was going to lead the charge for NBA legend, and Tigers coach Penny Hardaway.

The Crosby, Texas native opened the campaign strong, scoring 25 points, grabbing six boards, and dishing out five assists in am 83-75 win against Missouri. Since then, he has averaged a career-high 22.5 points, 5.5 caroms, 3.3 dimes and 2.1 swipes per game this year as a transferee from Tulsa.

With a substantial gap between the program's next top scoring average, there's no doubt that Haggerty will spearhead the Tigers on Saturday.

#2 Jaylen Murray

Now in his senior season, 5-foot-11 guard Jaylen Murray is running the Rebels' offense as the primary facilitator for the team who has only lost one game the entire campaign.

For the year, Murray is posting up 13.3 markers, 2.4 rebounds, a team-high 4.5 assists and 1.6 steals per contest. It's not yet clear on whether or not this could be his last stint for the Rebels but one thing is for sure, he will look to run the team's offense fluidly against Memphis.

#3 Sean Pedulla

With how he has scored at will this season, 22-year-old Sean Pedulla is the Ole Miss Rebels' primary scorer at the perimeter and beyond.

As a transferee from Virgina Tech, Pedulla has taken over the scoring duties at his newfound team. He's contributing a team-high 14.8 points to go with all-around averages of 3.8 boards, 3.8 assists and 2.5 steals a game this year.

Pedulla is pesky on both ends of the court, as we will see how his playstyle will fare against the likes of Haggerty.
