The 2024 NBA draft is scheduled to be held on June 26 and 27 at the Barclays Center and ESPN Seaport District Studios in New York. With the completion of the NBA Draft Combine on May 19, the teams and fans saw the performance prospects of the potential draftees.

While mock drafts are just based on the performances of the players and are not the final draft order, they provide a peek into the probabilities for prospects. However, some deserving players have been pushed down on the list. Here are a few,

Five undervalued prospects who could go big in 2024 NBA Draft

#1 Stephon Castle

In his lone freshman season with the UConn Huskies, Castle averaged 11.1 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 27.0 minutes per game. He also played a huge role in defense, partnering with UConn big man, Donovan Clingan.

However, the biggest concern with Castle's prospects in the NBA was his 3-point shooting. While he shot 47.2% from the floor, the guard only made 26.7% of his attempts from beyond the arc.

Stephon Castle made the best use of the NBA Combine, as he showcased his growth in shooting. He made 18-of-25 shots from deep and featured within the top five in most shooting drills.

That, along with his six-foot-5.5 height and six-foot-nine wingspan make him an easy top-five prospect. Most mock drafts predict Castle to go at No. 6 to 10.

#2 Isaiah Collier

In his only college season with the USC Trojans, Collier averaged 16.3 points, 2.9 rebounds and 4.3 assists, shooting 49.0% from the floor and 33.8% from the 3-point range. He was known for his excellent shooting prowess and basketball IQ as he led the Trojans from the front.

At the NBA Combine, Collier measured six-foot-four with a six-foot-five wingspan, which does not really work in his favor. However, he was the best rim-finisher in the league in the past seasonm and that should add more points to him along with his other skills.

Isaiah Collier is predicted to go at No. 21 by ESPN but deserves to be higher at a potential top-15 range.

#3 Devin Carter

Providence guard Carter averaged 19.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.8 steals in his junior year.

At the NBA combine, he was the best prospect, as he tied with Reed Sheppard for the highest max vertical at 42 inches. Carter also set an NBA combine record for the fastest sprint time.

During the scrimmages, Carter exhibited incredible shooting skills and defense, especially in blocking shots. While he's predicted to be a No. 13 pick, according to ESPN, Carter could be bumped up to No. 8 or 9 with interest from San Antonio Spurs and the Memphis Grizzlies.

#4 Zach Edey

Former Purdue center, Zach Edey had many doubters going into the NBA Combine. But he quelled some of the questions, as he aced through most drills, coming up ahead of his main competitor Donovan Clingan. While Edey's 3-point shooting may be comparable with others, he also provided glimpses of progress compared to last year.

Zach Edey is a predicted second-round pick by several mock drafts, but he could go from No. 11 to 15, with likely chances of featuring in the top-10.

#5 Baylor Scheierman

Scheierman is another player who made the biggest jump after the combine. The six-foot-seven guard averaged 18.5 points, 9.0 rebounds and 3.9 assists while shooting 44.8% from the floor and 38.1% from the 3-point range.

In Chicago, Scheierman impressed NBA teams with his shooting, playmaking and defensive skills during the scrimmages. He's already considered a pro-ready prospect and is predicted to go in the second round.

However, Scheierman could be nabbed in the late first round by teams looking to add a solid wing who can bring versatilty to the table.
