The Alabama Crimson Tide represents the University of Alabama at the collegiate level of women’s basketball. The team made its inception in 1974 and has made 13 NCAA tournament appearances since then, as of December 2024.

Since Curry’s arrival at Alabama in 2013, the Crimson Tide enjoy two successive winning SEC campaigns in 2011-12 and 2012-13. She has not had a losing season since 2018-19 and has made three NCAA tournament appearances with the program.

The Alabama Crimson Tide enters the 2024/25 campaign ranked in the Preseason AP Top 25 women’s basketball. They concluded the 2023/24 campaign with 24-10 in the regular season and 10-6 in conference play.

Kristy Curry has been the head coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide women’s basketball team since being formally introduced in 2013. During the 2023/24 season, Curry won her 500th game as a head coach.

Before arriving at Alabama, Curry made a stop at Purdue and Texas University where she won a combined 309 games. Curry began his coaching career in the high school ranks with Weston and Manfield High School. She then served as an assistant coach at Tulane, Stephen F. Austin, Texas A&M and Louisiana Tech.

Kelly Curry, Tennille Adams, and Pauline Love are the assistant coaches of the Alabama Crimson Tide women’s basketball team, as of December 2024. Kelly Curry has spent the last two decades working under his spouse Kristy Curry as an assistant coach. He is the primary offensive coordinator of the team and has entered his 12th season with the program.

Tennille Adams joined Alabama in 2023 as an assistant coach and is recognized as one of the top post development coaches in the nation.

Pauline Love, who was the recruiting coordinator for the Arkansas women’s basketball joined Alabama in the summer of 2024. In the past seven years, Love has earned the reputation of being one of the country’s top recruiters.
