Alijah Martin is a guard for the Florida Gators and plays as a graduate student in the 2024-2025 season. Martin hails from Summit, Mississippi. Martin played four seasons at Florida Atlantic University (FAU), scoring 1,476 points, 616 rebounds, and making 242 three-point field goals in 124 games, including 86 starts. He helped the Owls lead to the 2023 NCAA Final Four, where he earned NCAA All-Tournament Team honors. Martin proved to be crucial in FAU's 2023 postseason campaign, averaging 16.5 points per game in the Conference USA (C-USA) and NCAA Tournaments. He scored 30 points against Memphis in the NCAA first round and 26 points in the Final Four against San Diego State. Among the many accolades he received the 2023 C-USA Tournament Most Outstanding Player and also was named in the All-Conference USA first team the same year. During the 2023-24 season, he averaged 13.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, and a career-high 56 steals. He was also selected to the All-American Athletic Conference second team.

Alijah Martin began his football career at North Pike High School. Martin averaged 25 points, nine rebounds, five assists, and three steals per game as a senior. He also won the All-State recognition. Martin had a remarkable performance in the Alabama/Mississippi All-Star Game where he was the MVP. Apart from basketball, Martin was also a football player and was recognized in the All-State team. He completed his senior year with 2,100 yards passing for 20 touchdowns as well as rushing 1,300 yards for 13 touchdowns as a quarterback. Martin also participated in baseball, soccer, and track and field events.
