Angel Reese College

Angel Reese is a star power forward for the WNBA's Chicago Sky. Reese is renowned for her elite post-up skills and rebounding abilities. Born on May 6, 2002, Reese was selected as the seventh overall pick in the first round of the 2024 WNBA Draft by the Chicago Sky.

Before joining the WNBA, Reese had an illustrious four-year sporting career at Saint Frances Academy in Baltimore, Maryland. She excelled as both an outside hitter in volleyball and a forward in basketball. She used to often attend Washington Mystics games and drew inspiration from WNBA legends Candace Parker and Maya Moore. Reese's impact was so profound that her number 10 jersey was retired by St. Frances, making her the first female player to receive this honor.

Regarded as a five-star recruit, Reese eventually transitioned to a successful college career and then entered the WNBA as a dominant force, where she is now a rising star for the Chicago Sky. Reese’s main talents lie in her rebounding skills as well as the capacity to block the shots of her opponents during games. Besides collegiate basketball, this young forward has also gained achievements for her home country at international levels.

Angel Reese has become notable for her confidence and two-way skills, which make her one of the most entertaining players to watch on the court. Colleges Attended by Angel Reese

Angel Reese has been a part of two colleges. First Angel Reese college is the University of Maryland. Then, Angel Reese college was changed as she transferred to Louisiana State University during her junior year.

University of Maryland (2020-2021)

Angel Reese started her collegiate basketball career by enrolling at the University of Maryland and playing collegiate basketball for the Maryland Terrapins. Despite suffering a Jones fracture in her right foot, she helped her team to win the Big Ten Tournament.

For this, she was declared as one of the members of the Big Ten All-Freshman Team in 2021. During her sophomore 2021/22 season, Reese recorded her first double-double, which made her the first player from the Maryland Terrapins to achieve this after Angie Scott in 1975.

Throughout her two seasons with the team, she contributed 15.3 points, 9.1 rebounds, 1.4 assists. 1.3 steals and 1.2 blocks per game. She shot 49.3% from the field, including 17.6% from the three-point range.

Louisiana State University (2021-Present)

Angel Reese transferred to Louisiana State University ahead of the 2022/23 season to play collegiate basketball for the LSU Tigers. In her junior season with the team, her efforts led the LSU Tigers to become the NCAA champions in 2023 for the first time in their career.

For this, she was declared as the NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player in 2023. She has since then made a pretty strong start to her senior 2023/24 season. Throughout two seasons and 69 games with the team, she averaged nearly 21 points per game, 14.2 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.3 blocks per game.
