Arizona guard Jada Williams believes Los Angeles Lakers basketball great and five-time NBA champion Kobe Bryant is the greatest of all time over Michael Jordan and LeBron James.
Williams revealed her GOAT during her appearance in the "2Legendary podcast with Shedeur Sanders" on Tuesday.
The 5-foot-8 guard had a personal relationship with Bryant and patterned her game after the late basketball superstar.
"I'm going with Kobe because I had a personal relationship with Kobe and that's somebody that I model my game after," the Arizona guard said [36:38-36:43].
Williams didn't leave James and Jordan behind and noted that they are also on her list of greats.
The Kansas City native also gave her opinion on what it takes to be great.
"I would say the little things like the extra work you put in, touching the line on the sprints, being a leader. I love to lead my team. That's just something that's come easy to me being vocal," Williams said [39:29-39:40].
Jada Williams talks dreams, best WNBA player today
Jada Williams told Shedeur and Deion Sanders Jr. that her goal is to make it to the WNBA and play at the highest level.
When asked who she feels is the best WNBA player today, Williams named Las Vegas Aces guard Kelsey Plum. She is also a fan of Plum's teammate, A'ja Wilson.
"I'm a Kelsey Plum fan. Kelsey Plum is raw," Williams said (38:40). "Yeah same team I love the Aces. I love A'ja Wilson"
Williams played 34 games for the Wildcats last season and averaged 9.5 points, 1.7 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.1 steals per contest. Her season high was 23 points in two games against Oregon (Jan. 15) and Stanford (Feb. 24).
She was a major contributor to Arizona's NCAA Women's Tournament campaign. She scored 17 points in the Wildcats' 69-59 win over Auburn in the First Four and made 14 points in the loss against Syracuse.
Williams hopes the new season will be different for her and the Wildcats, who transferred to the Big 12 Conference, transferring from the Pac-12 early this year. The speedy guard brings last year's NCAA Tournament experience with her as she looks to help Arizona make March Madness next year.
