
Caleb Furst is an American collegiate basketball player playing in his senior year as a power forward for the Purdue Boilermakers. Before starting his collegiate journey in 2021, Furst led Team USA to a gold medal at the FIBA U19 World Cup according to Purdue Boilermakers website. As a freshman in 2021, he averaged 4.1 points and 3.2 rebounds per game but enjoyed his best campaign in 2022 when he posted 5.5 points and 4.6 rebounds per contest. As a junior, Furst was named to the Big Ten All-Academic Team while averaging 2.2 points and 2.4 rebounds per contest. As of February 2025, Furst averaged 4.9 points and 3.4 rebounds per game while starting in 15 out of 28 games.
Before his collegiate journey at Purdue University, Furst attended Blackhawk Christian School where he was rated a four-star recruit and was ranked the No.30 player by ESPN in the 2021 recruiting class. As a senior, he was honored with the 2021 Indiana Mr Basketball and Indiana Gatorade Player of the Year after leading Blackhawk to the Indiana Class 2A state title. In his sophomore season, Furst posted 18.7 points, 10.5 rebounds and 3.2 assists per contest and led the school to the 2019 state championship. Following his prep career, Furst received offers from Louisville, Michigan State, North Carolina, and a few others. He concluded his varsity career as the Blackhawk’s all-time leader in career points and rebounds.
