Cooper earned a selection in the all-tournament first team at the Kingdom of the Sun and Big Shots Prep National Championships. He averaged 12.4 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game while shooting 56.0% from the field for IMG. Cooper also played a year for the Ypsilanti Prep Academy prior to transferring to IMG in the 2020-2021 season. Cooper initially attended Jackson Northwest High School for two years where he played soccer as a goalkeeper. Cooper was named in the soccer all-state team for finishing second place in the state cup championship. Cooper also earned a spot in the academic all-conference list during his time at Jackson Northwest.
