Chaz Harrison Lanier is a basketball guard for the Tennessee Volunteers in the SEC. Lanier attended The Ensworth School in Nashville, averaging 22.8 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game in his high school senior year.
After high school, Lanier played for the University of North Florida Ospreys. In his senior year, he averaged 19.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.8 assists, earning Atlantic-Sun All-Academic and First-Team All-Atlantic-Sun honors in 2024.
Lanier then transferred to Tennessee. In his debut, he scored a team-high 18 points in an 80–64 win over Gardner-Webb. He later led the team with 22 points in a 75–62 victory over Miami in the Jimmy V Classic.
