Chris Carter is a combo guard for the Kansas Jayhawks basketball team, as of 2024. Carter attended Shadow Hills High School, where he was twice selected to the first-team All-League and won the Desert Empire League MVP award in 2022. Along with two conference titles, he helped his team capture the CIF-SS Division 3 championship. He was a standout athlete in track and field as well as basketball, winning the Desert League High Jump title in 2021. Prior to starting basketball in his second year, he primarily participated in football and high jump.
