Cooper Flagg was not at his best on Tuesday as No. 11 Duke fell to No. 1 seed Kansas, 75-72, in the Terry's Chocolate Vegas Showdown at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Flagg, the top freshman in the Class of 2024, tallied 13 points, five rebounds, three assists and one steal in 38 minutes for the Blue Devils, who fell to 4-2 in the 2024-25 college basketball season. Duke failed to inflict a blemish on Kansas' unbeaten record as the Jayhawks improved to 6-0.

The 6-foot-9 forward had a slow start, scoring only two points on a jumper at the 14:06 mark of the first half. He also had two rebounds, three assists and two turnovers in the first 20 minutes.

Flagg's slow start visibly affected the Blue Devils' attack in the first half. They fell to a 23-10 deficit before regrouping and cutting the Jayhawks' deficit to 41-39 after 20 minutes of action.

The forward scored 11 points in the second half on two dunks, a layup, a 3-pointer and two free throws, but committed a costly turnover with 48 seconds remaining that could have put Duke ahead had they succeeded.

Flagg also recorded three rebounds and a steal as Duke failed to register a win despite the early exit of Kansas center Hunter Dickinson.

Here are Cooper Flagg's stats in Duke's loss to Kansas.

Blue Devils vs Jayhawks Game Recap: Kansas holds off Duke to capture sixth straight win

No. 1 Kansas held off a fiery No. 11 Duke comeback to remain unbeaten in six games despite the ejection of Hunter Dickinson in the second half. Dajuan Harris topped the Jayhawks' offense with 14 points while Zeke Mayo added 12 for the Bill Self-coached squad, who won four of the past five meetings with the Blue Devils.

The 7-foot-2 Dickinson was thrown out of the game after committing a flagrant two-foul for kicking Maliq Brown in the head in the middle of the second half. He finished with 11 points. AJ Storr contributed 11 for Kansas, who shot 49.1% from the field, including 8-of-17 from the 3-point line.

The Jayhawks were almost perfect from the free-throw line, making 11 of 12 attempts. They ruled the rebounding battle, 31-25, and topped the assists department, 22-17.

Tyrese Proctor led the Blue Devils with 15 points while Kon Knueppel and Sion James added 11 and 10, respectively.

Up next for Duke is a home game against Seattle on Friday while Kansas hosts Furman on Saturday.
