Dain Dainja is a collegiate basketball forward for the Memphis Tigers in the American Conference. Dainja began his collegiate journey at Baylor University, where he redshirted during the 2020-21 season as the team clinched the NCAA Championship. The following year, he played in three games before transferring to the University of Illinois midway through the season. In his sophomore year, he averaged 9.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game while shooting 63.6% from the field.

During his junior season in 2023-24, Dainja averaged 6.1 points and 3.6 rebounds per game with a shooting percentage of 66.9%. In June 2024, Dainja made the decision to transfer to the Memphis Tigers for his final collegiate season. As of March 2025, Dainja has been an integral part of the Tigers' roster, wearing the number 42. In the 2024-25 season, Dainja is reportedly averaging 13.7 points and nearly 7.0 rebounds per game, while maintaining a shooting percentage of around 56.3%.
