In 2023-24 as a junior, Dainja was one of the six Illini to play in all 37 games this season. He ranked sixth on the team in both scoring (6.3 ppg) and rebounds (3.7 rpg). Dainja transferred to the Memphis Tigers for the 2024-25 season.
