One intriguing player heading into the draft on Wednesday is Dayton Flyers center DaRon Holmes II. He finished last season with 20.4 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 0.9 steals and 2.1 blocks in 32.4 minutes per game.

Having the ability to shoot the ball well with a 54.4/38.6/71.3 shooting split last season, the six-foot-nine center could transition to a power forward in the NBA. But which team will be the best fit for his talent? Let's take a look at five possible landing spots.

Five possible laanding spots for DaRon Holmes II

#1 New Orleans Pelicans

With the injury history of former first-overall pick Zion Williamson, this would be a great option for Holmes, as he can stretch the floor well.

Having Jonas Valanciunas as a solid center, DaRon Holmes would allow the team to spread out and clear the paint for Williamson to do well slashing the paint. With the ability to come off the bench or make Valanciunas expendable for more assets, Holmes could take that spot and play the center position in the NBA.

That makes a lot of sense, and with the 21st pick, it could be a great landing spot for Holmes.

#2 Toronto Raptors

When the Toronto Raptors traded away power forward Pascal Siakam in January, it became clear which direction the team was heading toward.

Their power forward spot is going to be interesting, as RJ Barrett is a good player, but Jakob Poeltl at the five. With Jontay Porter banned from the NBA, adding a big man seems to be the biggest need.

With the Raptors holding the 19th selection in the 2024 NBA draft, it will be intriguing to see them land him.

#3 New York Knicks

The New York Knicks are in an interesting spot, as they hold the 24th and 25th picks in this year's draft.

With rumors surrounding the Knicks losing center Isaiah Hartenstein and even using power forward Julius Randle's contract in a trade for a star player, that would leave a bit of a hole in their frontcourt.

Adding a quality player like DaRon Holmes would be great for the Big Apple for financial flexibility and talent.

#4 Milwaukee Bucks

The Milwaukee Bucks could potentially look to move off of center Brook Lopez, so DaRon Holmes could play a very similar role to what he produces.

With the Bucks needing to figure out some youth infusion after a first-round exit in the NBA Playoffs to surround Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard with, this selection would create a pretty formidable frontcourt for the team.

That's because they compete with the likes of Kristaps Porzingis and Jayson Tatum in the Boston Celtics and other big frontcourts in the Eastern Conference. DaRon Holmes has the skill to match up with them and could be a great player to get starting minutes immediately in Milwaukee.

#5 Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors continue to get into a position where their stars are getting older and reaching the end of their contending period. With the departure of shooting guard Klay Thompson likely, the Warriors are going to be looking to add a scorer.

Holmes could also make them financially flexible, as he would be on a rookie-scale contract to build around for the future. He has the ability to play at a similar level to what the Warriors do by spreading the floor and shooting from distance.

The team is a bit undersized, so if they want to move Draymond Green to the four, it could be a landing spot for DaRon Holmes to thrive in.
