DaRon Holmes II, a rising star in basketball, hails from Goodyear, Arizona. His high school journey took him across state lines, from Millennium High School to Montverde Academy in Florida, before ultimately returning to Arizona to attend AZ Compass Prep. As a four-star recruit, Holmes committed to the Dayton Flyers, showcasing his exceptional talent from day one.


In his freshman year, Holmes was outstanding in his performance on the court. He started all 35 games and averaged 12.8 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks per game. His defensive prowess was helpful to the team and he broke the record by making 81 blocks in a season. His best season came in 2023-24, with Holmes averaging 20.4 ppg, 8.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists.


These achievements earned him recognition as the Atlantic 10 Conference Rookie of the Year, a Second-Team All-Conference selection, and a spot on the All-Defensive team.


Holmes initially declared for the 2023 NBA Draft but ultimately returned to Dayton for his junior season. Now, in 2024, he's set his sights on the NBA once again, entering the 2024 NBA Draft with the hopes of taking his skills and dedication to the professional stage.
