On Thursday, South Carolina coach Dawn Staley flexed a 'buffed' look with her players ahead of their game against Copping State. She took up an intimidating pose with some members of her South Carolina team as Molly Binetti, director of performance for the Gamecocks, shared the picture on X.

South Carolina coach Dawn Staley's impressive start to this NCAA season
Dawn Staley has led her South Carolina side to two wins on the spin to begin this NCAA season. The 54-year-old coach has managed to get the best out of her players in the two victories so far.
South Carolina forward Chloe Kitts dropped a double-double as she scored 19 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in the 68-62 win over the Michigan Wolverines on November 5. Tessa Johnson also managed to score 15 points off the bench which helped the Gamecocks win the season opener by six points.
On November 11, Dawn Staley's players earned a far more convincing 71-57 victory versus the NC State Wolfpack. Both Te-Hina Paopao and MiLaysia Fulwiley starred for the Gamecocks as they collectively posted 41 points, six rebounds and three assists on the night.
Ahead of the game against the Coppin State Eagles, Staley shared her excitement for South Carolina's first home game of this season.
“It’s unfortunate that we had to play two games at neutral sites to open the season," Staley said. "I guess it’s a buildup to playing at home. I hope that people come out and support us and do it in a fashion of raising another banner. That’s always exciting. To play in front of our fans, but we’ve been pretty fortunate in that every place we play, Vegas and Charlotte, it really felt like a home game.
"But this is really a home game where we’ll be in the comfort of CLA, and hopefully, we can play the type of basketball that everybody is accustomed to seeing,” Dawn Staley added.
The Gamecocks head coach will also have a fully fit roster to choose from in this match-up against Coppin St.
“It’s great. We’re at our best when we have our entire roster. We’re at our very best; we succeed the most when we have our entire roster. We look forward to just figuring out what substitution patterns will look like and keeping everybody healthy,” Staley added.
Based on South Carolina's first two games this season, it seems like Staley's players should have enough firepower to earn a blowout win versus the Eagles at the Colonial Life Arena on Thursday.
