South Carolina coach and Philadelphia native Dawn Staley sent an energetic message to the Eagles before their NFL wild-card game against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.

A diehard Eagles fan, Staley cheered on Jalen Hurts and company while rocking a custom Randall Cunningham jacket. She sent a resounding message to the team before kickoff on the same day she coached the No. 2-ranked Gamecocks past the No. 5 Texas Longhorns 67-50.

"Hey, what's going on everybody! This is Dawn Staley, head women's basketball coach of the University of South Carolina and my pick for this game. I'm going for the pack of EAGLES!," the three-time national champion coach said.
"GO FREAKING BIRDS! Let's go!" she exclaimed.

ESPNW posted Staley's OOTD with a matching message for the Eagles with the caption: "Philly legend 🤝 Philly legend" and is trending nationwide. It had quickly earned more than 10,000 likes on Sunday.

Hours later, the Philadelphia Eagles surged to the NFL divisional round with a 22-10 win over the Green Bay Packers. Ranked second in the wildcard round, the Eagles sustained a good start on both sides of the field to trample the Packers.

Dawn Staley-led Gamecocks demolish Longhorns to extend winning streak to 11

Dawn Staley's South Carolina continued its winning ways, outplaying Texas 67-50 in a Southeastern Conference regular season game on Sunday. The Gamecocks (16-1, 4-0 SEC) raced to a 39-22 lead in the first half and never looked back.

Te-Hina Paopao and Chloe Kitts scored 11 points each while Joyce Edwards added 10 off the bench to lead South Carolina's offense in dismantling No. 5-ranked Texas, which struggled to score all game.

The Longhorns' leading scorer Madison Booker struggled with the Gamecocks' relentless defense. Booker, who was averaging 15.3 points on 51.4% shooting in 16 previous games, was held to seven points on 3-of-19 shooting. Kyla Oldacre led Texas (16-2, 3-1) with 11 points and 16 rebounds while Rori Harmon added nine points, one rebound, two assists and two steals.

South Carolina shot 51.0% and limited Texas to 27.8% shooting (22-of-79). The Gamecocks gave a lot of possessions due to their 22 turnovers but had nine blocks overall, six coming from Sania Feagin.

Up next for Dawn Staley and her South Carolina squad is a Thursday night game at No. 18 Alabama (16-2, 3-1). The Crimson Tide beat Ole Miss (11-5, 2-2) 84-78 to continue its strong start to the season.
