Denzel Aberdeen is a guard for the Florida Gators and plays as a junior in the 2024-2025 season. He hails from Orlando, Florida, and attended Dr. Phillips High School. Aberdeen played in 44 collegiate games and scored 125 points with 33 rebounds, 25 assists, and 13 steals. As a sophomore in the season of 2023-24, he started in 32 games and scored 106 points with 23 assists and stole the ball 13 times while shooting 12 three-pointers. He was notable in the SEC Tournament semifinal game against Texas A&M, scoring 20 points on six field goals and four three-pointers, and he helped Florida make a comeback from an 18-point deficit. He also scored 12 points against FAMU and 11 points against Grambling. Aberdeen was remarkable in the second-half against Pitt, helping the team win the game by scoring eight points. He also scored two three-pointers against Baylor. As a freshman during the 2022-23 season, Aberdeen appeared in 12 games and scored 19 points. He scored a season-high six points in the NIT tournament against UCF and added four points in a victory against Stetson. He got the most playing time in the regular-season finale against LSU with nine minutes.

Denzel Aberdeen had a remarkable career at Dr. Phillips High School in Orlando, Florida. He was named to the all-state team twice by the Florida Association of Basketball Coaches, earning first team recognition in 2021 and second team recognition in 2022. In the 2021 Class 7A state championship game, Aberdeen scored a team-high 27 points to lead Dr. Phillips to its first-ever state championship. He led the team to the state championship game for two consecutive seasons. During his senior season, Aberdeen scored 432 points, 108 rebounds, and 93 assists. Apart from basketball, he also played football in high school.
