DJ Horne is an American basketball power forward who has signed with San Antonio Spurs as a free agent this summer. The former NC State point guard is working his way toward landing on an NBA roster and has decided to work out with four different teams in the coming days. Horne started playing basketball at Cary High School where he averaged 18 points, four assists, and three rebounds per game during his junior season. Horne was ranked the No.31 prospect in North Carolina before his senior year when he transferred to Trinity Christian for his final year of prep career.

Horne started his collegiate journey at Illinois State in 2019 where he recorded 633 points, and 186 rebounds in his two seasons with the program. After two seasons, Horne transferred to Arizona State where he averaged 12.5 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game in his junior season. The next year as a senior in 2022-23, Horne averaged 12.5 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game and made a whopping 72 three-pointers, second most on the team. Following the 2022-23 season, Horne entered the transfer portal for the second time to join NC State as a graduate transfer. Last season, Horne tallied a career-high 16.9 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in his final season of college basketball.
