Ben McCollum was announced as the new head coach for the Drake Bulldogs on April 1, 2024. The Iowa native spent more than half a decade coaching at Northwest Missouri State University. He has won four national championships in 2017, 2019, 2021, and 2022 and compiled a career record of 395-91 in 15 years as the Bearcats head coach. Under his leadership, Northwestern has won 25 or more games in 12 straight seasons and was himself named the conference’s coach of the year nine times.

Josh Sash
Josh Sash who spent one year as the head coach at Indian Hills returned to his alma mater this summer. He led the Warriors to a 29-6 record during the 2023-24 campaign and an appearance in the NJCAA national tournament. Sash made several other stops in coaching including three years as an assistant at North Dakota State, as per Drake Bulldogs' official website.
Bryston Williams
Bryston Williams joined the Drake Bulldogs coaching staff this summer, bringing a wealth of experience from the Missouri Valley Conference and the NBA. He spent the last season at Wyoming and also spent three seasons as an assistant for the Detroit Pistons.
