Dre Davis is a guard for the Ole Miss Rebels and plays as a senior in the 2024-2025 season. Davis hails from Indianapolis, Indiana, and attended Lawrence Central High School. Davis began his collegiate basketball career at Louisville Cardinals, playing for two years from 2020 to 2022. During his freshman year, he played in 20 games, starting 17, and scored 7.4 points and 3.2 rebounds per game. He scored a season-high 21 points against Western Kentucky on December 1, winning ACC Freshman of the Week. During his sophomore year, he made 30 appearances with 23 starts and contributed 7.4 points and 3.0 rebounds on average. Davis scored his season-best 18 points twice and earned a spot in the Baha Mar Hoops Bahamas Championship All-Tournament team. He transferred to the Seton Hall Pirates for two seasons, from 2022 to 2024. He started 36 out of 37 games and averaged 15.0 points and 5.9 rebounds in 2023-24. He was named to the NIT All-Tournament team and contributed to Seton Hall's 2023-2024 championship win over Indiana State.

Dre Davis had a remarkable career at Lawrence Central High School. Davis was rated as the No. 3 player in Indiana and the No. 122 recruit in the country by On3. He was also ranked as the No. 100 overall player and the No. 4 player in Indiana by ESPN. As a senior, he scored an average of 21.5 points, 8.7 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.2 blocks, and 1.2 steals per game and led his team to a 22-3 record. His shot accuracy was 57.3% from the field, 36.3% from the three-pointer range, and 80.2% from free throws. Throughout his high school career, Davis scored 1,192 points and 516 rebounds and helped his team achieve a 60-14 overall record. He was named to the 2020 IBCA/Subway Supreme 15 Senior Indiana All-State Team and was a finalist for the Indiana Mr. Basketball award.
