
Florida Gators represent the University of Florida in college basketball sports. The Florida Gators basketball team won two championships back in 2005–06, and 2006–07, under the head coach Billy Donovan.
Florida University is the first university to win the national championship in two sports, i.e. Football and Basketball, in the same academic and calendar year which came in 2006-2007. In addition to this, they have four SEC Tournament championships to their name as of 2024 and all the championships came under the head coach Billy Donovan. The Florida Gators compete in the Southeastern Conference (SEC), and their home ground was Stephen C. O'Connell Center since 1980 and is now named the Exactech Arena since 2017.

He was announced as the men's basketball coach at Florida following the departure of Mike White to Georgia, on March 18, 2022. At 39 years old, Todd Golden is the second youngest Power Conference head coach in the nation, followed by Jon Scheyer of the Duke Blue Devils, who is 36.
Todd Golden led the team to a postseason berth and top-25 wins in the 2022-23 season. This made him the first Florida coach to achieve both of these accomplishments in his first year. His contract with the school spans six years, from 2022 to 2028, and is worth $18 million over the tenure of the deal.

Associate Head Coach
Carlin Hartman and Korey McCray are the associate head coaches of the Florida Gators men's basketball team as of January 2024. Carlin Hartman joined the Florida basketball team in 2022 as an assistant head coach.
Prior to Florida, Carlin has worked as an assistant coach at UNLV Runnin' Rebels basketball team from 2021 to 2022. Carlin has an experience of more than 24 years as a coach at the collegiate level.
Korey McCray also joined the Florida basketball team in 2022 as an associate head coach. Prior to Florida, he was the assistant coach at Mississippi State from 2015 to 2022. He has 13 years of experience working with power-conference programs and Southeastern Conference programs.

Kevin Hovde, John Andrzejek, and Taurean Green are three assistant coaches at the Florida Gators men's basketball team. Kevin Hovde joined the Florida basketball team in 2022 and has worked alongside Todd Golden for eight seasons as of January 2024. He has helped the Gators to a postseason berth in his first season at University of Florida.
John Andrzejek joined as an assistant coach in August 2023, previously serving as Assistant Basketball Coach at Washington State University from 2019 to August 2023.
