“He just sent me a few”: When Carmelo Anthony’s son Kiyan Anthony revealed asking LeBron James for a favor

Carmelo Anthony’s son, Kiyan Anthony, has a close relationship with NBA icon LeBron James. The 6-foot-5 guard once asked LeBron for a favor, and the four-time NBA champion obliged.

Speaking with Overtime in November 2022, Anthony recounted an instance where he asked the LA Lakers star to send him a new pair of shoes.

"Yeah, he just sent me a few. I hit him, I'm like I need some shoes," Anthony said.

LeBron James' signature Nike shoes are in high demand among sneakerheads and basketball fans. When the interviewer asked Anthony if he called LeBron his uncle, he replied affirmatively. He added that he also holds a close bond with LeBron's sons, Bronny and Bryce, whom he calls his cousins.

The Denver, Colorado native benefits from having an ex-NBA player as a father and an actress as a mother. He talked about the perks of having famous parents on an episode of Overtime's "The Evolution" a year ago.

"I feel like since he's in the NBA and my mom being an actress, it opens more doors for all of us especially like me being friends with Bronny and Bryce it's just all opportunities all the work that he's put in I've watched it for all the years, but now it's time for me to reciprocate that same energy."

Kiyan Anthony believes he and his dad can beat LeBron and Bronny James

Carmelo Anthony's son, Kiyan Anthony, changed his mind about his earlier comment where he said they would lose to LeBron and Bronny James. Now he believes they could win against the Lakers' pair.

Kiyan Anthony, who had teamed up with Bryce James in the AAU circuit, changed his mind about his earlier prediction regarding who would win a two-on-two game.

"I think we could win, I think we could win," Kiyan said during an appearance on '7PM in Brooklyn'.

Kiyan once played against Bronny James in high school and has also faced off against Bryce. Kiyan, who played for Team Melo, competed against Bryce's team, Strive for Greatness (SFG), at Nike EBYL Indiana in May.
