The USA Basketball is trying to get the best roster for the FIBA U17 Men's World Cup as they invited 34 best high school players to the U17 Training Camp. Out of those 34 players, only 12 were selected after a week of training. One player who stood out was AJ Dybantsa.
The youngster is On3's No. 1 prospect from the class of 2025. He went to Utah Prep in high school and caught the eyes of many scouts present there. According to On3, many scouts were there to witness his skills and caliber on the court.
"He is on a tier by himself in this class. He is one of the better domestic prospects I have seen in high school over the past few cycles. Hell, he might be the best," an anonymous scout said.
Dybantsa was named the Massachusetts Gatorade Player of the Year and has also secured a gold medal with the U16 FIBA America Team. He is known for his mentality and athleticism.
"He's fantastic. He's got a chance to be a superstar, an NBA All-Star all that is within the possible outcomes," another scout said.
Dybantsa has been a hot topic on the camp and has received many cheers from the courtside. He can create amazing moments by creating amazing plays from the half-line by using his size and explosiveness. The Five-Star Plus+ small forward has established himself as a potential future star in no time.
"He is the only one here with franchise upside. Not yet, but the shooting is coming around and he is a true alpha," another scout stated.
AJ Dybantsa has received offers from around 13 college programs including Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Baylor, North Carolina, UConn, and USC.
Amidst all that, he is all set to travel to Istanbul, Turkey, for the FIBA U17 Men's World Cup and many have hopes of him excelling at the event. Indeed, this is the opportunity for him to justify all the scouts.
