Hercy Miller, a shooting guard for the Southern Utah Thunderbirds, was born on March 28, 2002. Hercy started high school at Minnehaha Academy in Minneapolis, where he was a standout basketball player and athlete. Hercy chose to play his freshman year at Tennessee State after graduating from high school. He then played collegiate basketball for two seasons at the University of Louisville. He joined the basketball squad at Southern Utah University (SUU) after transferring there in July 2024.

In high school, Hercy Miller made his debut. He led the team to a 20-1 record and their fourth consecutive 3A Minnesota State Championship. Miller scored a team-best 24 points in the championship game, earning him a three-star high school prospect rating from ESPN.
