Haley Cavinder and her twin sister, Hanna, signed a deal with Betr, a sportsbook for micro-betting, in April 2023. As part of the promo, they came together for a chat, and during the conversation, Haley recalled a specific incident from when she visited Las Vegas with their father for the first time when they turned 21.
"I'm so frugal when it comes to anything. He gave me 50 bucks. And I go to the roulette table, and I was just betting me and Hannah's numbers, like 14 and 15, our jersey numbers. First take, $500 [and] the whole week I didn't bet again. I went to cash in," Haley said.
Right after this, Hanna interrupted her twin to add that her sister had spent the money.
"She bought shoes, though. She bought Alexander McQueen. I'm like, bro ...," Hanna said.
Haley Cavinder immediately justified her purchase by stating that it was not her money.
"Because first of all, it wasn't my money. That was my one big purchase. And it wasn't because I was like, okay. Like, I wasn't even supposed to win this money, and I didn't even spend a dime to get it. So this is just an asset," she said.

Hanna and Haley Cavinder are making a grand return to college basketball after taking the last year off. The Cavinder twins will play their final college eligibility year with the Miami Hurricanes.
Hannah and Haley Cavinder sign deal with Under Armour
Earlier this month, Under Armour announced that it had signed Hanna and Haley Cavinder to a three-year endorsement deal. With the return to college basketball, the "Queens of NIL" are engaging in brand deals that have previously helped them earn around $2 million.
The Cavinder twins are set to appear in content for the brand, along with testing its products and sharing their input. However, they won't be able to wear Under Armour gear on the court since the Hurricanes are sponsored by Adidas.
Talking about their decision to return to Miami, Hanna told The New York Post:
"When I made the decision to stop playing, I was excited to get more involved in the businesses and brands we are part of. But watching Haley train and get ready for the season made me realize that I wasn't ready to stop playing.
"I love basketball and I know I won't be able to play it forever. Being with my sister is the perfect way to finish out my career."
Haley Cavinder had initially committed to playing for TCU but changed her destination after her sister chose Miami.
