NBA great Carmelo Anthony's son, Kiyan Anthony, was on cloud nine when he received his first college offer from Memphis University. He recorded a video where he talked about his reaction to his first college offer.

In an Overtime video posted on YouTube on Aug. 19, 2023, Kiyan describes his plans for the EYBL season. In a voiceover clip, he says:

"This EYBL season, we're very focused on impressing college coaches and getting offers. My first offer was from Memphis going into my freshman year. I was super hyped."

Kiyan Anthony's recording of that moment is played after the voiceover. In the clip, Anthony said he was recording it so that he could look back at the moment later:

"Are we explaining the game, right? I look at my phone and look at my email. Guess who emailed me? Memphis University."

Since then, Anthony has shortlisted six programs. The Ohio State Buckeyes, Rutgers Scarlet Knights, Syracuse Orange, Florida State and USC Trojans are the basketball destinations top on his list.

He has already visited two schools, having been to Florida State last October and visiting his father's alma mater, the Syracuse Orange, a week later.

On July 17, he received an offer from the USC Trojans and is expected to visit the school on Sept. 14.
