LSU star Flau'jae Johnson was a four-star guard in the Class of 2022. She attended Sprayberry High School in Marietta, Georgia, where she earned McDonald's All-American honors.

On her podcast, "Best of Both Worlds," Johnson invited the No. 1 recruit in the 2026 class, Jerzy Robinson, in late August, where she shared her experience with college recruiting.

"My recruitment process, oh my god, I wish I could do it all over again 'cause I hated it," Flau'jae said. "Like while I was in it, why they keep calling me? It's getting on my nerves.
"They keep trying to schedule, they keep trying to talk. Now that I'm done with it, I'm like, damn, that was one of the best moments, though. I used to just turn my phone off, and they would have to catch me when they had to catch me."

Flau'jae Johnson also advised Robinson to cherish the moment instead of getting annoyed.

"This is your time. This is like the biggest dating pool in the world and everybody wants you. You gotta take advantage of that ... You understand me?" Flau'jae told Jerzy.

Robinson said she has been calm about the whole recruiting process and sees it as a blessing. She also said she is excited to have the opportunity to choose between different colleges and talk with coaches.

Flau'jae Johnson reportedly had 19 offers, which she trimmed down to her top five schools: Georgia, LSU, Miami, Ole Miss and Texas. She then committed to the Tigers in November 2021. Meanwhile, Jerzy Robinson, who attends Sierra Canyon in Chatsworth, California, has already received 22 scholarship offers, and she still has over a year left in high school.

Flau'jae Johnson lists her favorite LSU legends

It is well known that Flau'jae Johnson's idol growing up was Kobe Bryant. She has mentioned this multiple times on different platforms.

"Just watching Kobe, he was really it for me," Johnson said on her podcast. "He was the one I watched, like, his mindset, going into high school he do four workouts a day, I was tryna do four workouts a day."

However, when it comes to athletes who have donned the LSU uniform, Johnson has a few legends she looks up to. She listed out the names on episode 10 of "Best of Both Worlds," where USC Trojans star JuJu Watkins joined as the guest.

Here is the list of Flau'jae Johnson's LSU Tigers legends:

  • Shaquille O'Neal
  • Pete Maravich
  • Seimone Augustus
  • Sylvia Fowles
