Uconn guard Paige Bueckers has been working hard this off-season ahead of her final college basketball season. On Thursday, an Instagram user, @_jkflix, provided an inside look at Bueckers' intense workout session.
The photos captured her practicing at the Bullis Bulldogs' gym in Potomac, Maryland. She wore an orange jersey from the Goodman League and matching black shorts while she engaged in various strength-building exercises.
"Shots of @paigebueckers Everyday hustle for her," the caption read.
One image shows the 6-footer actively engaged in a drill and practicing offensive moves. Meanwhile, one of her trainers restrained her mobility using padded equipment to simulate defensive pressure, helping the basketball star refine her skills under game-like conditions.
Paige Bueckers took a month-long break from training in July, which she used to refresh. She enjoyed attending WNBA games, an NWSL match, the ESPYS awards and the WNBA All-Star game while on her vacation.
Paige Bueckers aims to end her college career on a high note
The talented player from Minnesota understands the stakes are high as she aims to solidify her place among the best athletes in UConn women's basketball history.
"I know I'm not at the top, at the peak of my performance. I'm not anywhere where I wanna be. So. I'm always motivated by that, always motivated by wanting to win. I haven't won a national championship. So. I'm trying to get there. I'm tryna work for it," Bueckers said during an appearance on the 'This is Winning Basketball' show.
"And just for me coming back from injury being inspired people that injury doesn't have to be the end of your career, doesn't have to be labeled don't put the box you can be great come back even better."
After sitting out the 2022-23 season due to an ACL tear in her knee, Paige Bueckers received medical clearance to resume full basketball activities in August 2023.
Bueckers, a projected top pick for the 2025 WNBA draft, guided the Huskies to a Final Four appearance with impressive performances last season. She maintained an average of 21.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 2.2 steals and 1.4 blocks per game.
Bueckers was honored as the Big East Player of the Year, the Big East Tournament's Most Outstanding Player, an AP First-Team All-American, and a First-Team All-Big East selection.
