IN PHOTOS: When Carmelo Anthony’s ex La La styled son Kiyan Anthony while honoring Kobe and GiGi

Kiyan Anthony, son of Carmelo Anthony and La La, is in his teenage years but is already a fashion icon in the making. Kiyan modeled for Mamba & Mambacita Sports in October last year, posing in the brand's new sweatshirt paying tribute to Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna "GiGi" Bryant.

La La Anthony shared a series of pictures from the photoshoot on her Instagram. She also thanked Kobe's wife, Vanessa Bryant, for presenting Kiyan with the opportunity.

"This is sooo cool. When V called me & said she wanted Kiyan to model the new @mambamambacitasports sweatsuit I was so touched. I love V to the moon and back and now Kiyan gets to represent Kobe & GiGi in this way! So special @vanessabryant Link in my story!" La La captioned the post.

The Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation is a nonprofit organization Vanessa Bryant put up in 2021 after the passing of her daughter, Gianna "GiGi" Bryant, and her husband, Kobe Bryant, in a helicopter accident in 2020. Per its website, proceeds from the foundation go to "creating positive impact for underserved athletes."

The "Desert Sand" collection Kiyan Anthony was modeling quickly sold out.

La La on raising Kiyan Anthony to honor women

Kiyan Anthony and his mom La La share a close, friendship-like bond. She has been intentional about Kiyan's upbringing and instilled good values in him, especially when respecting women.

Appearing on The Jennifer Hudson Show in January 2023, La La discussed how she teaches her son to be an honorable gentleman.

"I lead by example," La La said. "I'll tell him you know if I get dressed for an event or something and I'm just leaving, he might not say anything. I'm like, you know, do you think Mom looks nice? He's like, 'Yeah Mom, you look really nice'. Just make sure you say that because women like to hear compliments."
