3 must-see games for Indiana basketball in 2024-25 season
#3. Indiana vs. South Carolina
The Indiana Hoosiers will have their first real test on Nov. 16, when they face the South Carolina Gamecocks at Assembly Hall. South Carolina made it to the NCAA tournament last season with a 26-8 record.
In the SEC regular season, Lamont Paris' men tied for second place with a record of 13 wins and five losses. In 2023, during their non-conference games, the Gamecocks lost only one out of thirteen games. They are expected to pose a strong challenge for Indiana.
#2 Indiana vs. Illinois
The Hoosiers fans are excited to see their team compete against rival Illinois in the upcoming season. Last year, IU suffered a 70-62 defeat against the Illini at the State Farm Center. Indiana and Illinois will face each other once this season, but this time at IU's Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington.
#1. Indiana vs. Purdue
Indiana also struggled against another rival, Purdue. Last season, the Hoosiers faced Purdue twice but lost both games. Indiana basketball fans will be hoping for a win against the Boilermakers this season, as there are two games scheduled between them.
Matt Painter's Purdue won the Big Ten regular season championship and reached the 2024 NCAA national championship game but lost to Dan Hurley's UConn Huskies.
