A new era has dawned upon the Kentucky Wildcats basketball team. With Mark Pope as their new head coach, their recruitment process is in full swing. With their first Final Four appearance since 2015 in sight, five-star recruit Jasper Johnson and four-star recruit Malachi Moreno have committed to the Wildcats.
The Wildcats have offers out to eight five-star recruits which include Cameron Boozer, Caleb Wilson, Koa Peat, Chris Cenac Jr., Meleek Thomas, Cayden Boozer and Tounde Yessoufou. Four-star recruit Acaden Lewis has also received an offer from the Wildcats.
However, three of these players stand out from the rest. Jasper Johnson took it to X to invite Caleb Wilson to Kentucky. Furthermore, as soon as Acaden Lewis stated that his Top 4 college list includes Kentucky, Wilson told him to "come on over bro."
3 5-star recruits of the 2025 class who may join Mark Pope's Kentucky Wildcats
The Kentucky Wildcats already have a five-star commitment in Jasper Johnson. Let's look at three more five-star recruits who might play for the Wildcats next season:
#3 Cameron Boozer
The son of NBA legend Carlos Boozer is a five-star recruit who plays for Columbus Varsity. The forward has averaged a double-double in his high school career. Boozer averaged 20.7 points, 11.2 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.5 steals and 2.1 blocks per contest for his school.
The 6-foot-10 forward is ranked second on the 2025 ESPN Top 100 recruiting database and has an impressive 97 scout grade. He visited Mark Pope on Sept. 22 and is yet to make a decision.
#2 Caleb Wilson
The 6'9" power forward ranks fifth in the 2025 ESPN 100 Recruiting Database and has a 95 scout grade. However, Mark Pope will have to fight other programs like Auburn, North Carolina and UCF to get Wilson's commitment.
With Jasper Johnson's personal invitation, it could be possible. In 69 games, Wilson has also averaged a double-double with 17.9 points, 12 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 1.4 steals and 4 blocks per game. Wilson visited Mark Pope on Sept. 14.
#1 Koa Peat
Ranking sixth in the 2025 ESPN 100 Recruiting Database, Koa Peat is another player who Kentucky has sent an offer to. Peat ranks number one in his state at his position and has been given five stars by On3, 247Sports, ESPN and Rivals.
Peat was an important part of Team USA's gold medal at the 2024 FIBA U17 World Cup. He averaged 17.9 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. However, there is strong competition from Arizona, Arizona State and Texas for Peat's commitment.
