Five-star Duke freshman Isaiah Evans was hyped up from the bench after his teammate Cooper Flagg skied high for a thunderous dunk in front of Pittsburgh forward Guillermo Diaz-Graham in the second half of the Blue Devils' 76–47 conquest of the Panthers on Tuesday.
With more than two minutes past the second half, Flagg stole the ball from Pittsburgh guard Jaland Lowe and went to the races for a fastbreak. He took off from the Duke basket's Atlantic Coast Conference logo and jumped for a slam in front of Diaz-Graham.
Flagg was successful in his daredevil move that rocked the Cameron Indoor Stadium, causing the diehards, the Cameron Crazies, to shout at the top of their lungs in admiration of the superstar freshman's throwdown.
Evans, nicknamed "Slim," was hyped with the aerial assault. He flexed his muscles for a long time to celebrate the 6-foot-9 star's big moment.
The North Mecklenburg standout seemed to have used up his energy to that pose, he forgot to save it for the game. He failed to score on 0-for-3 shooting from the field but recorded a rebound and a turnover in seven minutes of playing time.
