The James Madison Dukes is the men's basketball team representing James Madison University. They compete in the NCAA Division I level in the Sun Belt Conference. The Dukes have won the Conference tournament five times. The team made six NCAA tournament appearances and also qualified twice in the Division II NCAA tournament. They play their home games at the Atlantic Union Bank Center in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

James Madison Dukes Basketball Head Coach 2024-2025

Preston Spradlin is the James Madison Dukes head coach for the 2024-2025 season. Spradlin joined the Dukes after his tenure as head coach at Morehead State University. He won two OVC Championship tournaments in 2021 and 2024, and two OVC regular season Championships in 2023 and 2024 for Morehead State. He also received the OVC Coach of the Year in 2021 and 2023.
