Jana El Alfy plays as a center for the UConn Huskies and is a redshirt freshman in the 2024-2025 season. She hails from Cairo, Egypt, and practiced at Al Ahly Sporting Club. Prior to joining UConn, Jana El Alfy played for Al Ahly Sporting Club, becoming the first player from Egypt to join the UConn program. Jana has been a part of the NBA Academy Women's Program since 2019. Jana also appeared in the BWB Africa 2022 Women's Club competition, representing Phoenix Mercury, where she played four games, averaging 6.0 points per game, with an efficiency rating of 6.0.
