Jason Rivera-Torres is a basketball guard for the San Francisco Dons, representing the University of San Francisco. In the 2023-2024 season, he enrolled at Vanderbilt University over Florida Atlantic, Texas A&M, Fordham, and San Diego. But later used the transfer portal to join the San Francisco Dons in April 2024. He was a four-star recruit as per ESPN and 247. After spending two seasons at Iona Prep High School, he transferred as a junior to Bishop Walsh in Maryland and as a senior to John Marshall in Virginia. As a senior, he averaged 15.4 points, 3.4 assists, 7.7 rebounds, 3.6 steals, and 1.4 blocks.

Rivera-Torres played in 29 games for the Vanderbilt Commodores, making two starts and averaging 15.4 minutes per game. In total, he shot 76% from the free throw line and averaged 6.4 points and 3.1 rebounds per game. Notably, Rivera-Torres recorded 27 steals overall last season, ranking third on the team, and finished in double figures eight times.
