During her time at LTHS, JJ Quinerly averaged 17.4 points, 6.7 rebounds, 9.0 assists, and 5.0 steals per game. According to the All-Star Girls Report, she was ranked 42nd in the country, and the Collegiate Girls Basketball Report ranked her 54th. She averaged a double-double for the Titans in her sophomore season, scoring 20.3 points and dishing out 10.0 assists per contest. In 2019, she was selected to the USA Today Virginia All-State second team and won the VHSCA 4A Player of the Year award. In the 2018–29 season, she guided Lake Taylor to a VHSL 4A State Championship.
