John Vincent Calipari is an American head coach of men’s basketball at the University of Kentucky. He began his coaching career as an assistant at the University of Kansas under the legendary Larry Brown in 1982. Calipari was named Naismith College Coach of the Year thrice over the course of his coaching career. He has established himself as one of the finest coaches in modern college basketball by leading them to the NCAA Tournament.
Calipari was always known for his recruiting prowess and his ability to develop players for the NBA.
