In the championship game, he contributed with the last six points to send the team to the overtime which broke Bishop Gorman's nine-year championship streak. Liberty won the championship game with a 63-62 margin. Jefferson won the Nevada Preps All-Southern Nevada Boys Athlete of the Year award and also was named the MaxPreps Player of the Year.
