J'Wan Roberts is a forward for the Houston Cougars as of April 2025. He joined the University of Houston in 2019 and redshirted his freshman season.
In the 2020-21 season, Roberts averaged 1.9 points and 3.8 rebounds. As a sophomore, he played all 38 games and ranked third on the team in offensive rebounds. He led the Cougars with 7.7 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game in 2022-23 while averaging 10.0 points. In the 2023-24 season, he posted 9.5 points and 6.8 rebounds, finishing his senior year as Houston’s third-winningest player with 117 wins.
Roberts attended Shoemaker High School in Killeen, Texas, leading his team to a district title with a 15-1 record. He was named District 12- 6A MVP as a senior and received offers from Oklahoma, Baylor, St. John’s, and Texas A&M before choosing Houston.
