
The Kansas State Wildcats is the women's basketball team representing Kansas State University in the NCAA Division I Basketball. They compete in the Big 12 Conference. The Kansas State Wildcats women’s team was established in 1968. The team plays their home games at Bramlage Coliseum, which has a capacity of 11,000 fans. Kansas State appeared in 18 NCAA tournaments, including an Elite Eight appearance in 1982. They advanced to the Sweet Sixteen four times in 1982, 1983, 1984, and 2002. The Wildcats won four conference tournament titles in 1976, 1977, 1982, and 1984. They won regular-season conference titles in the Kansas State Conference from 1972 to 1979, in the Big Eight Conference in 1983, 1984, and 1987, and in the Big 12 Conference in 2004 and 2008. Their last NCAA tournament appearance was in 2024.

Jeff Mittie is the head coach of the Kansas State Wildcats women’s team for the 2024–2025 season. Mittie has been their head coach since 2014. He started his coaching career at Missouri Western from 1992–1995, then moved to Arkansas State from 1995–1999 and TCU from 1999–2014. Mittie received several coaching recognitions, such as the 2024 Naismith Women's Coach of the Year Late Season List and the 2017 KBCA Women's Basketball Coach of the Year. He guided teams to several conference championships, including TCU's 2010 Mountain West regular season championship and the 2001 WAC regular season and tournament championship. Mittie earned Coach of the Year honors in four conferences, the MIAA twice in 1994 and 1995, the WAC in 2001, the Conference USA in 2002, and the Mountain West in 2010. He graduated from the Missouri Western State University in 1989, he was awarded the school's Distinguished Alumni Award in 2016.
