The Karl Malone Award is one such award that is provided to the best male power forward in NCAA Division I college basketball every year. Awarded by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, this award is named after 14 time NBA All-Star and 2 time NBA MVP Karl “The Mailman” Malone. This is one of the newer awards alongside the Bob Cousy Award, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award, Julius Irving Award and Jerry West Award for college basketball players.

The Karl Malone Award was first introduced in 2015 when Montrezi Harrell of the Louisville Cardinals won it for the first time.
