The Katrina Mclain Award is a trophy that is presented to the best women power forward every year in NCAA Division I women’s college basketball. It is regarded to be the female equivalent of the Karl Malone Award.

The award is named after Katrina McClain-Pittman, who is one of the best scorers and rebounders in women’s basketball during her time. Prior to her professional career, she used to play women’s college basketball for the Georgia Lady Bulldogs and was a two time Kodak All-American. She was also the WBCA National Player of the Year as a senior.

The Katrina McClain Award was first introduced in 2018 when it was awarded to Ruthy Hebard of the Oregon Ducks. She has also won the trophy the most with two honors to her name. Since then, the trophy has been presented to the top women power forwards every year. Maddy Siegrist of the Villanova Wildcats was the last to win this award in 2023.

The race is on to find a new recipient for the Katrina McClain Award among the top notch women’s college basketball players under NCAA Division I in 2024.
