Kentucky recruitment tracker 2024-25: List of all players who’ve committed to the Wildcats

Mark Pope has been finalizing the Kentucky Wildcats’ roster and coaching staff in his first year as the head coach. Pope was forced to rebuild as most Wildcats' players from the last season withdrew from the program after John Calipari left for Arkansas.

With that, let’s look into the recruits and transfer portal additions the Wildcats have brought in for the 2024-25 season.

Players committed to Kentucky ahead of the 2024-25 season

#1. Lamont Butler, San Diego State

The two-time Mountain West Defensive Player of the Year joins Kentucky for his final collegiate year and will be expected to put on his defensive glove for Mark Pope. He averaged 9.3 points and 1.5 steals last season while making 48.5% shots from the field, including the buzzer-beater in the 2023 Final Four that sent San Diego State to the title game.

#2. Jaxson Robinson, BYU Cougars

Robinson only started six games last season and saw fewer minutes than his sophomore year. However, it didn't keep Robinson away from churning out the most efficient year of his collegiate career. The 6-foot-7 guard led BYU in scoring by posting an average of 14.2 points while making 42.6% of his shots and sinking 35.4% of his threes.

#3. Andrew Carr, Wake Forest

Kentucky is the third program for the 6-foot-10 veteran who posted career-highs in points, rebounds and blocks last season. Carr averaged 13.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.5 with Demon Deacons while sinking more than half of his shots from the floor.

#4. Otega Oweh, Oklahoma Sooners

Oweh averaged 11.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.5 steals last season and is eligible to play for two years for the Wildcats. He shot 37% from the three last year and has a knack for getting to the charity stripes.

#5. Brandon Garrison, Oklahoma State

Garrison posted 7.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in his freshman year while connecting on 57.2% of his shots. The former McDonald's All-American was a top-25 player available in the transfer portal and will bolster the defense for Mark Pope.

#6. Ansley Almonor, Dickinson

Almonor averaged 16.4 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.7 assists last season at Fairleigh Dickinson and recorded a season total of 93 three-pointers as a junior. The finance major can move effortlessly for his 6-foot-7 frame and adds another veteran presence to Kentucky's revamped roster.

#7. Koby Brea, Dayton

Koby Brea, one of the nation's best 3-point shooters, announced his commitment to Kentucky on Wednesday. Brea is a heavy 3-point shooter who can immediately fit into Mark Pope’s system. He averaged 7.9 points and 3.1 rebounds last season and converted 43.4% of his shots behind the arc.

#8. Kerr Kriisa, West Virginia

The 6-foot-6 guard is one of the best three-point shooters with a 49.8% clip last season. He has won the Atlantic 10 Sixth Man of the Year award twice and came off the bench for the Flyers to average 11.1 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 2023-24.

#9. Collin Chandler, Freshman - Farmington, Utah

The 6-foot-4 Utah Gatorade Player of the Year joins the Wildcats with 4-years of college eligibility and has all the skills to become a staple point for the program. He has an explosive burst to slip by defenders and finish at the rim, reads mismatches and opportunities quickly on the floor and has a good jump shot.

#10. Trent Noah, Freshman - Harlan County, Kentucky

Trent Noah ended his high school career after scoring more than 3,500 points for Harlan County. He has great shooting mechanics and is not afraid of physicality. He averaged 29.9 points per game last season while shooting 56% from the field and 43% from three.

#11. Travis Perry, Freshman - Eddyville, Kentucky

Travis Perry was a top 10 point guard in the 2024 recruitment class and has offers from Cincinnati, Ole Miss, Alabama and Western Kentucky. He ended his high school stint as Kentucky High School’s all-time leading scorer in boys' basketball history.
