Koby Brea is a college basketball shooting guard for the Kentucky Wildcats, a team from the Southeastern Conference, as of February 2025. Brea attended Monsignor Scanlan High School for his basketball prep career. As a senior in high school, he averaged 20.8 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 5.2 assists. He led his side to the final four of the Class AA New York Catholic High School Athletic Association which was the first time the school reached that level. As a junior, he averaged 18.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 3.1 assists. He was the team captain during his senior year. In the 2020-21 season as a freshman, Brea was forced to miss the majority of the pre-season owing to injury. He attended 16 games and started three of them that season. He averaged 2.9 points and 14.1 minutes a game. The following year, he was named the A-10 Sixth Man of the Year and averaged 8.1 points and 2.9 rebounds. Brea was one of the four Flyers to attend in all 35 games. The college basketball player led his side in made three-pointers, and attempts, and recorded 14 steals and five blocks. Brea’s name was enlisted in the Rising Star Award at the 2022 RUDYS and bagged the Chris Daniels Memorial Most Improved Player Award. The following year in 2022-23, he played in 28 games and started 10. As a redshirt junior in the 2023-24 season, Brea returned to the team practice after surgeries. He became a member of the 2023-24 Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll.
