Kristy Curry is an American college basketball coach who has been in the realm of the Alabama Crimson Tide women’s basketball team for the past 13 years. Her coaching journey began in her home state of Louisiana at the prep level where she coached Weston and Mansfield. In just three years, she moved to college ranks and had spells at Tulane, Stephen F. Austin, Texas A&M, and Louisiana Tech as an assistant.

Curry's career took a significant turn when she began her position as a head coach at Purdue in 1999. For the next seven seasons, she led the program to three Big Ten tournament titles and two Big Ten regular season championships. Curry also led the program to seven NCAA tournament appearances with a 179–51 record. After seven years, Curry took over the reins at Texas Tech and guided the program to two NCAA Tournament appearances in three years.

After seven seasons, Curry accepted the head coaching position at Alabama in 2013 and got deeply involved with the program in the following years, both on and off the court. Last season, Curry enjoyed her best year at Alabama as the Tide went 24-10 and 10-6 in the SEC. She accepted a five-year contract extension in October 2024 extending her contract until the summer of 2029.
