Kylan Boswell is a college basketball player for the Illinois Fighting Illini. Prior to the Fighting Illini, he played for the Arizona Wildcats for two years from 2022 to 2024. Boswell was a part of the 2023 FIBA Under-19 Basketball World Cup and the 2021 FIBA Under-16 Americas Championship.

After attending Champaign's Bottenfield Elementary and Edison Middle Schools, Boswell transferred to Urbana Middle School, where he helped the Tigers make it to the state finals. After achieving a finals appearance, he left for California and eventually enrolled at the University of Arizona.

Kylan Boswell’s impact at California's Centennial High School was visible from the offset as he helped the team win the CIF Southern Section. Kylan then made the next move of his career and moved to Chandler, Arizona's AZ Compass Prep for his junior year.

Kylan skipped his senior year of high school. At seventeen when he concluded his freshman year, he became the youngest player in college basketball in 2022. In March 2023, Boswell was named the Pac-12 Freshman of the Week. After two years in Arizona, Boswell transferred to Illinois.

Kylan was added to the 12-player roster for the FIBA Americas U16 Championship in August of 2021. He led the US to a perfect 6-0 record and the gold medal, averaging 9.2 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game. In June 2023, he was chosen for the FIBA Under-19 World Cup roster. The USA fell short against France 89-86 in the semifinal despite his 11 points and five steals.

Kylan was the star in Arizona and averaged 9.6 points, 3.6 assists, and 2.3 rebounds per game in the 2023–24 campaign. In addition to starting 36 of the 37 games, he led the team with 50 steals, the most by a Wildcat in a season since 2016–2017. He averaged 4.6 points, 1.6 assists, and 1.6 rebounds per game during his rookie campaign in Arizona. After two productive years in Arizona, he will be plying his trade in Illinois for the upcoming campaign.
